Chief Financial Officer( CFO)

The Tanzania Telecommunications Company limited (TTCL) was established by "The Tanzania Telecommunication Company Incorporation Act of 1993". The company came into operation on 1 st January, 1994. TTCL has been established to develop and operate telecommunications service within and outside the Country. .
TTCL currently provides voice and data communication services to over 300,000 business and residential customers in Tanzania. The Company also provides network services to other licensed telecom operators. TTCL aim is to remain the leading Fixed Network Operator in Tanzania. In order to achieve this goal, a strong focus has been placed on customer satisfaction by providing high quality and affordable services to customers. .
TTCL is seeking to recruit dynamic, strategic, experienced and qualified Tanzanians with strong credentials to fill the positions in the Senior Management Team. Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified Tanzanians for the following positions:

CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER (Job reference - CFO/O5/15)
Position Summary:
Reporting. to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will be responsible to ensure availability of adequate funding to meet both long and short terms investment and operational expenses, sound financial and accounting policies, procedures, practices and controls

Key responsibilities:
Providing leadership in the development, implementation and monitoring plans that maximise use of financial resources to ensure that TTCL's business objectives and strategies are realised;
Advising the Chief Executive Officer/ Board of Directors on investment decisions and strategies for future
business growth and profitability of TTCL within legal and financial framework;
Advising the Chief Executive Officer/Board of Directors on all financial matters by gathering and analyzing necessary information to facilitate decision making;
Being in-charge of TTCL Strategic Business Plan and Annual Budget preparation and approval processes including implementation follow-ups and reviews;
Monitoring and reporting to the Executive Management the financial performance of TTCL against budgets/plans and recommend as appropriate;
Providing leadership in the development, implementation, monitoring and review of financial and accounting policies, procedures, practices, regulations, controls and ensuring they reflect TTCL quality standards requirements and add value to the business;
Ensuring internal interfaces with Commercial, Technical and Support departments are established, functioning and support high levels of customer services;
Ensuring existence of performance capabilities (capacity building) in the departments under CFO and the employees are actively involved in continuous learning and development to enable TTCL to meet the current and anticipated human resources performance requirements;
Developing, implementing and sustaining efficient costs control systems and ensuring resources under CFO departments are efficiently utilized, properly managed and secured.
Practising transparency that fosters TTCL's corporate values and good governance at all levels of operations.
Implementing delegated authorities and any other instructions/ directives as may be issued by Chief Executive Officer from time to time

Key qualifications, experience and competencies:
University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent from a recognized Institution;
A post graduate degree is an added advantage; . .
Certified Public Accountant, and registered as an Authorized Accountant;
At least 10 years' relevant experience (preferably in the Telecom Industry) including daily operations, personnel, financial responsibility and strategic planning;
At least five (5) years of proven experience in people management at Senior Management level;
Strong leadership skills, team work and interpersonal skills;
Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (verbal and written);
Experience with budgeting and financial accountability.
