Job Post: Lecturer - (2 POSTS )
Reports to: HEAD - PRACTICAL LEGAL TRAINING

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
a.    To teach NTA level to 8 for Master Degree holders and up to NTA level 9 for PhD holders;
b.    To guide and supervise students in building up their practical and research projects;
c.    To prepare learning resources and design training exercises for students ,
d.    To conduct consultancy and community services;
e.    To develop and review existing curriculum;
f.    To undertake individual research and participates in scientific/ academic congregations;
g.    To prepare teaching manuals, simulations and case studies for training;
h.    To coach junior teaching staff; and
i.    To perform any duties as may assigned by Head Practical Legal Training.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
a.    By recruitment of holders Doctorate (PhD) Degree in relevant field who is eligible for registration as a technical teacher.
Or
b.    Registered technical teacher, hold of Masters Degree/PhD in relevant field who is working in similar position in related or allied institution.
Or
c.    Holder of Master Degree in relevant field, who has a proven applicable working experience preferably in research/consultancy of at least ten years in, the industry and have published at least five consultancy/research reports of the academic and professional appreciable depth \ in the relevant field.
d.    Should be registered as an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania;
e.    Experience in providing instructions in academic and. professional program
f.    Ability to relate to students and other members of staff including problem management skills; and
g.    Proven ability to implement practical training programs.

REMUNERATION
According to the Harmonized Scheme of service for Technical Teachers (NACTE) and the Law Schemes of Service Salary Scale PHTS 3.1

c.    To evaluate library service delivery with the view to improving such services;
d.    To provide technical advice and information to library users and researchers;
e.    To deliver on-the-job training for junior library staff;
f.    To develop procedures for acquisition of books and other library resources;
g.    To develop policies and procedures for delivery of library services;
h.    To supervise the conduct of stock taking and making appropriate recommendations for acquisition of books and other resources; and
i.    To perform any other duties assigned by Head of Library Services.

Holder of a Bachelor degree in librarianship or equivalent academic qualifications from a recognized institution and at least five years of working experience

vii.    To assemble flimsy copies and files them for circulation to listed Officers; and
viii.    To re-addresses mail and answers questions on dispatch, postage and postal procedures and regulations.
