POSITION; MINING ENGINEER LONG TERM PLANNING - ( 1 POST)

Reporting Line: Long Term Planning Section Leader
Rotational Status: 42 days on /21 days off.
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region.
KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•    Provide professional Technical support to ensure layouts and plans are delivered to mine management, mining department and other service departments in a timely manner
•    Develop and implement medium to long term plans ensuring budgeted targets are met and ensure these plans are delivered to the mining department in a timely manner.
•    Calculate and present mid-year and annual ore reserves to standard as per legal requirements and deliver as per issued schedule.
•    Help develop training programs and train Tanzanian Engineers to develop new skills and achieve their full potential.
•    Act as a liaison between planning and operations departments coordinating engineering efforts, ensuring that short term objectives are aligned with medium and long term strategies to meet company objectives
•    Assist the long term planning section leader to complete BGML's employee performance management processes to ensure optimum employee performance and take appropriate action to remedy any substandard employee performance or behavior
•    Provide supervision and training to mining engineers and other support staff in the area to ensure compliance with BGML's policies and procedures.
•    Provide advice and other duties and responsibilities are required by the long term planning section leader.
•    Other duties may be assigned depending on mine requirement. .

POSITION; LONG HOLE SECTION LEADER - ( 1 POST)

Reporting Line: Mining Manager '
Rotational Status: (5 weeks on; 3 weeks off
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    Mining Improvement Plan
•    Ensure Safe working environment by reducing L TI and incident and accidents
•    Achieve Long Hole production plans as agreed
•    Reduce All In Sustaining Cost (AISC)
•    Ensure that the section achieves the planned monthly mining grades
•    Spatial compliance to weekly plan
•    Achieve or better the budget cost for Long Hole stoping
•    Continually review every aspect of mining activities to ensure that opportunities to add value and enhance shareholder wealth are identified and implemented .

    Operational Systems (Mining Communication; Management Operating System (MOS); Mining Dispatch System & Mine Planning System)
•    Ensure that the noted systems exist
•    There is at least one audit every 2 years on each of th~, systems
•    Identify and implement improvements after the audits
•    Key User feedback on the systems is that it helps them get their
work done
•    Ensure compliance to the systems

    Management Information (Daily & Weekly Reports)
•    Timely, accurate and appropriate content of reports
•    Ensure proper employee Time and attendance Management
    Leadership
•    Objectives met by team members.
•    Proper leadership to First Line leaders by proving necessary support and conducive working environment.
•    Ensure proper Management of labour of the section. (budget vs. actual)
•    Team member reviews conducted to avoid surprises and complains during the mid or annual appraisal.
•    Implement employee performance management processes to ensure optimum employee performance and take appropriate action to remedy any substandard employee performance or behavior.
•    Existence of Development Plans for team members, and milestones achieved Improvement in the Culture Behavioral Gap size between the current and desired behaviors of team members.
•    Build team work and motivation to perform their duties.

PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS
Education
•    Qualification in Mining Engineering
•    Certificate in drilling and blasting will be an added advantage
Experience
•    At least 10 years underground experience in the Mining Industry and 3
years in managerial level .
•    Both technical and operational experience in long hole mining methods is
essential.
•    Experience in underground longhole mining is advantageous.
•    Some expbsure to cemented backfill and narrow vein operations.
•    Project Management

POSITION; METALLURGICAL TECHNICIAN - ( 1 POST)
Reporting Line: Section Leader Process Metallurgy
Rotational Status: 28 days on; 14 days off.
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•    Ensure total adherence to all safety, occupational health and environmental policies of BGML, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines
•    Ensure adherence to all BGML policies and procedures
•    Be proactive in ensuring Prime Product Protection
•    Provide accurate and timely plant monitoring data to Metallurgy and Operations
•    Ensure the accuracy of technical equipment, including the Courier on Stream Analyzer and Particle Size indicator, through regular maintenance and calibration
•    Provide quality assurance and quality control on all metallurgical samples and ensure that they are delivered to the Assay laboratory in timely manner
•    Conduct laboratory test work, analysis and reporting, as required.
•    Conduct plant surveys, analysis and reporting, as required
•    To carry out any other relevant duties as required by the Plant Metallurgist.

PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS
Education
•    Diploma in Mineral Processing Engineering

Experience and Skills
•    Minimum 1-2 years practical work experience, including previous work experience in mining industry or laboratory is desirable. .
