Egis International in the framework of coming tenders in Eastern African countries for Preparation of Conceptual Design, Bidding Documents, Support in Procurement of Civil Works and Monitoring Supervision for reconstruction of Roads and Bridges under OPRC contracts, is seeking Road Maintenance/Management Specialists which should demonstrate previous Experience in Output Performance based road contracts (OPRC) using Design Build and Transfer methodology (DBT).
ROAD MAINTENANCE/MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST:
· A registered professional engineer or equivalently qualified, with a minimum of a BSc academic degree (Civil) or equivalent,
· A minimum of 10 years’ experience in pavement design and using road network management systems including economic evaluation tools such as dTIMS, HDM, RED, HIMS, etc. as well as setting up of roads database systems.
· A minimum of 10 years’ experience in road network inspection, defects prioritization, work definition and direction, budget development and control, treatment design and determination of optimum service/intervention levels. Experience in applying road management models in planning and monitoring OPRC or similar contracts is desirable.
· The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the application of using road asset management models based on the HDM system.
· Previous experience in developing countries, preferably in Africa
· Fluency in written spoken English
