Main Purpose
To manage the stock levels, product quality and stock reconciliations in accordance with the Puma HSE policies and guidelines, sound equipment maintenance and Puma procedures and processes around general depot management, product receipts, handling and storage. Principally this consists of the following:
•Enforcement of the Puma HSE policies and programs
•Stock management and security
•Product quality management
•Sound management of equipment, materials and documents
To manage the stock levels, product quality and stock reconciliations in accordance with the Puma HSE policies and guidelines, sound equipment maintenance and Puma procedures and processes around general depot management, product receipts, handling and storage. Principally this consists of the following:
•Enforcement of the Puma HSE policies and programs
•Stock management and security
•Product quality management
•Sound management of equipment, materials and documents
Key Responsibilities
•A combination of the Puma HSE, Barrick HSE, Mining regulations and National legal requirements to achieve full compliance.
•Management of stock in bowsers and the long distance covered by trucks bringing product into lumwana in order to fully account for the movement of product.
•The different transporters used to deliver to lumwana and the cycle of product movement (from source to consumption) may compromise the quality of product.
•The high turnover of operational activities results in constant breakdowns and replacement of materials, documents and equipment.
•A combination of the Puma HSE, Barrick HSE, Mining regulations and National legal requirements to achieve full compliance.
•Management of stock in bowsers and the long distance covered by trucks bringing product into lumwana in order to fully account for the movement of product.
•The different transporters used to deliver to lumwana and the cycle of product movement (from source to consumption) may compromise the quality of product.
•The high turnover of operational activities results in constant breakdowns and replacement of materials, documents and equipment.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Manage depot operations in accordance with the Puma HSE policies and guidelines and prevent accidents/accidents in order to achieve no harm to people, environment and equipment.
• Maintain all the working areas within the depot premises in sound house – keeping condition to ensure orderly management of the depot and prevention of incidents/accidents.
• Custody and control of stock management apparatus, materials and documents to ensure good continuous tracking, accountability and availability of the apparatus, materials and documents.
•Perform product quality tests on product received and in tank and review external product results to ensure that the product supplied to the customer meets the contractual specifications.
•Enforce the security access control procedure to ensure the control of people, equipment and goods into the depot and also ensure that the all the products and equipment within the depot premises are secured.
•Monitor the stock levels in the tanks and requisition for replenishment to ensure that at all times the agreed contractual stock levels thresholds are maintained.
•Enforce depot operating procedures on product receipts, storage and handling to ensure to ensure sound compliance to good stock management practices.
•Perform stock reconciliations to ensure that the movement of product is fully accounted for on site and in order to determine ant variations.
•Investigate any in-transit and working gains and losses in order to ensure that the gains and losses within tolerable levels and to explain/justify any abnormal gains and losses.
•Monitor and report on the performance of depot equipment to ensure that the equipment is maintained in a sound state in accordance to the depot operating maintenance manual and programs.
•Manage, coach and train depot staff to ensure that a cadre of disciplined and competent staff is developed.
