PTA BANK SENIOR INVESTMENTS OFFICER

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Portfolio and Infrastructure Finance Department, the Senior Investments Officer is responsible for identifying, appraising, negotiating and monitoring the Bank’s investments – debt, mezzanine, equity and other instruments in accordance with operational guidelines and business strategy. The incumbent participates in due diligence and negotiations at various stages in the business cycle and prepares appraisal reports, including portfolio performance analysis in comparison with approved benchmarks. The position holder will be required to play multiple roles across the transaction cycle, including origination, negotiation, project development, technical transaction advisory, and project execution.

Job Specifications: 

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Banking, Finance, Civil Engineering or Economics and a Masters’ degree in a related field. Post graduate qualifications in project management/appraisal will have added advantage;
• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience and proven track record in investments in financial industry including experience in syndications in the context of multiple investment instruments;
• A comprehensive knowledge of financial instruments, equity products and risk management concepts and their applications with strong analytical, financial modelling and investment evaluation skills;
• Proven organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to build partnerships and deliver results;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Proficient in the use of ERP systems particularly SAP and MS office applications;
• Fluent in English or French. Working knowledge of the other language shall be an added advantage.
