Join us! Our team is looking for a training and performance manager to manage the training portfolio across the organization
In this role, you will lead and manage measurable training practices and initiatives across PSI to improve the design, delivery and evaluation of training. This includes providing technical assistance both in-country (approx 40% travel) and from headquarters.
You will:
• Lead high-quality, measurable training practices across PSI
o Lead the team in the design and execution of performance improvement learning solutions (leveraging the tools we already have such as the corporate university, social networking site, and KM tool)
o Assist headquarters and in-country staff to analyze performance issues, develop and conduct needs assessments and performance objectives
o Bring innovation to training design, sharing best practices across platforms, health areas and with partners
o Lead training evaluation and promote wide-scale use of evaluation across Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Training evaluation. Pilot efforts to calculate ROI on training initiatives within PSI
o Design new training tools and review curricula for in-country and headquarter departments
o Contribute to PSI’s new Marketing Academy as needed
• Create a community of practice within the PSI network to support internal training professionals
• Document training efforts internally and manage training toolkit resources available on internal PSI wiki
• Lead and manage reporting for training efforts across the PSI network of country platforms and partners. Contribute results for Learning and Performance Annual Report
• Support the People Department in the design and delivery of PSI’s leadership and management programs. Assist in creating a contextualized experience across PSI’s management staff around the globe. Quantify measurable results from the leadership and management programs and report within the Learning and Performance Executive Briefings
• Publish and promote PSI’s methodology as an industry ‘thought-leader’ in training and evaluation for external publications and fundraising
• Continually seek and support new approaches, practices, and processes to improve the efficiency of training services offered

Requirements
• Problem Solver: Love to figure out complex problems and constantly think about how to make things efficient
• The Knowledge: Relevant post-graduate degree (MBA, MIA, MA, MS, etc) or equivalent experience
• Passion: You love the world of learning and training
• Training Cred: 7 of more years of experience in managing, delivering and evaluating training programs. You have a demonstrated success in facilitation and meeting design
• Go Global: You have experience in launching and scaling-up global training and adult learning initiatives
• Wordsmith: You have a way with words and are a great communicator
• Language Skills: Fluent in English. Can speak French or Spanish? Great! This will come in handy for making connections with in-country staff
• Details. Details. Details: You pay attention to them and focus on quality and consistency
• Empathy for the Customer: You can put yourself in their shoes and cater the curriculum to best fit their needs
• Think Big: You care about pressing issues, like providing health care to the world’s poor. Impact is a priority
• Need for Speed: Ready and willing to go, go, go!
