JRP is a non-profit organisation based in Gulu. JRP has played a key role in transitional justice in Uganda since 2005 through seeking to understand and explain the interests, needs, concerns and views of the communities affected by conflict. Aiming to promote locally sensitive and sustainable peace, our work focuses on the active involvement of communities in research and advocacy on local level transitional justice issues as a means of giving a voice to populations which have suffered from conflict for over twenty years.
