The Benjamin William Mkapa HIV/AIDS Foundation (BMAF) is a non-profit making TRUST, established and incorporated under the Trustees’ Incorporation Ordinance, CAP 375 in April 2006, aiming to complement the national efforts in addressing HIV/AIDS pandemic. To enhance continuous and quality contribution to the achievement of our vision and mission, BMAF is currently seeking for a dedicated, innovative and hard working medical professional. The candidate will work with the Foundation team for one year, and thereby possibly extending the engagement based on performance and organizational status.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Reporting to the Director of Programmes, the Program Officer-Health Service Delivery overall responsibilities will be to develop operational plans and supervise implementation of the Mkapa Fellows Phase II (MFPII) and other related initiatives that aim to improve delivery of services at all health care levels.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific responsibilities for the Program Officer- Health Service Delivery will include, but not be limited to the following:
• In collaboration with BMAF team and respective institutions, take part in the development of proposals on Service delivery, its implementation,monitoring and evaluation
• Support the Mkapa Fellows Alumni Association (MFAA) activities as per established constitution and association activities.
• Take part in the resource mobilization for the Mkapa Fellows Programme Phase 2 and rolling up of the implementation
• Provide related technical and facilitation support to the rolling up of the Regional Hospitals Laboratory personnel recruitment project.
• Provide technical and facilitation support to the implementation of the Foundation’s Maternal Newborn Health project Phase II in Singida region.
• Provide technical and facilitation support to the start up of Male Circumcision project through non-invasive methodology;
QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
Applicants for this position should be Tanzanian nationals who possess the following minimum qualifications:
• A registered Medical Doctor, with minimum of 1- 2 years demonstrated experience working in similar projects, preferably HIV/AIDS and/or Reproductive, Maternal & Newborn health initiatives.
• Highly motivated with ability to problem-solving, being result oriented and with excellent organizational and time management skills
