POSITION OBJECTIVE
The overall objective of this position is to effectively assist Project Managing team with all the activities specified within the position profile on NMGM:
Co-ordination of Planned Activities on Civil and Building Projects.
KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Produce Construction Scheduling / Programming for Civil and Building Projects using Microsoft Projects.
· Effective Tracking and Reporting of Planned vs. Actual on Project Progress.
· Cost-Control and reporting Planned vs. Actual.
· Budget / Expenditure Control and liaising with Finance Department.
· Ensure continuity of planned activities by means of effective communication between client, professional team, consultants and Contractors.
· Raising and tracking of Purchase Orders via Oracle Flowcentric and Pronto Systems.
· Document all communication and minutes of meetings, maintain and update Databases.
· General Administrative work.
· Assist in tendering processes.
· Capture material and equipment specifications, material and labour unit-costs compared to allowable rates.
· Setting up meetings and ensure stakeholder representation.
· Drafting of contract preparation documentation for tenders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar diversified portfolio as described in the profile.
· Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Building Management obtained at a Technikon or similar.
· Computer literacy is essential – Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Microsoft Projects.
· Experience in working with Enterprise Resource Programs like Oracle, Flowcentric and / or Pronto.
· Project Management Qualification / Experience will be an advantage.
