ADB - Senior Financial Sector Specialist (Pension)

Lead the formulation of the financial sector development policy and strategies with a focus on pension subsector, promoting and improving the understanding of the pension schemes (both publicly and privately managed), engaging Developing Member Countries (DMCs) and Regional Departments (RDs) in ADB in policy dialogue in developing pension and social security systems, and conducting ADB's activities to support sector policy and reforms for the organized and unorganized sectors. To contribute to the Financial Sector Team in OREI and RDs, by providing technical inputs, knowledge and analyses in the identification, design, development, administration, evaluation of loan and technical assistance (TA) projects, and non-lending products and services (NLPS) in the financial sector development. Work within general policies, principles and goals, working directly with clients.

Immediate Reporting Relationships:

The position reports to: Deputy Head, OREI

The following staff positions report to the Senior Financial Sector Specialist: National Staff and Administrative Staff

Relevant Experience and Other Requirements:

Specific criteria include:

  • Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experiences in the financial sector, mostly in the pension business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • International experience working in development in several countries
  • Willingness to travel extensively when necessary.

Education Requirements:

Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Economics, Business, Finance or related fields. University degree in Economics, Business, Finance or related fields, combined with specialized experience in similar organization/s, may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
