Senior Lecturer in Strategic Sales Cranfield University

Salary in the range £47,000 - £51,000 per annum rising with performance-related element to £63,800

The Centre for Strategic Marketing and Sales at Cranfield School of Management in the UK is a recognised international centre of excellence for research and teaching in areas including Key Account Management (KAM), Sales, and Sales Management. As a result of recent expansion of our portfolio of activities across graduate programmes and executive development, the Centre is now seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer with expertise and track record in Sales and KAM. The main requirements for this post are a passion for teaching and researching KAM and/or selling and sales management. Applicants must have a PhD in an appropriate area. International experience in research, working or teaching in these areas would be an advantage.

The position requires a background in lecturing at post-graduate level and ideally also with practicing managers. The candidate must demonstrate an academic publication track record and pipeline. Teaching responsibilities would include lecturing on the MSc in Strategic Marketing and the long-established MBA programme. In addition, the appointee would contribute to Cranfield's portfolio of executive development programmes and become involved in our research projects and practitioner research clubs.

For this position applicants with a general marketing background are welcome. However key areas of growth and interest for us are:

• Key account management and strategic sales
• Relationship selling and sales portfolio management
• Sales and customer management strategies
• Sales management, sales performance, sales organization

The salary will be competitive and the terms and conditions of employment are commensurate with Cranfield's standing as a world-class management school. The appointment is available for 3 years in the first instance.
