Small Arms Survey seeks consultant researcher/writer on South Kordofan conflict

The Small Arms Survey’s Sudan Human Security Baseline Assessment
(HSBA) seeks a consultant researcher / writer to conduct research on
conflict dynamics in South Kordofan / Nuba Mountains for a
10,000-15,000 HSBA Working Paper to be published in October 2011.
Research must be conducted and completed no later than August 2011.

We seek a consultant with knowledge and writing experience on armed
violence and conflict dynamics in the South Kordofan / Three Areas
region, as well as a close understanding of North-South tensions and
other aspects of insecurity along the border areas. The ideal
candidate is located in South Kordofan, or has spent time there in the
last 1-2 months, can engage local contacts, and can write analytically
about the current conflict, the key belligerents, and evolving
dynamics.
