Lead, Business Improvement and Management Development Specialist (Finance)

Role Purpose: To lead Finance-related Business improvement and management development initiatives that lead to the increase in efficiency and effectiveness of the entire IDB Group (IDBG) and ultimately impact the services delivered to member countries. Deliver innovative, and outstanding consistent execution of world-class business improvement services across the IDBG. Be the knowledgeable expert on Finance topics regarding business improvement and management development. Ensure the dissemination of Finance best practices throughout IDBG.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES: Set the plans to conduct Finance-related Business improvement initiatives and implement continuous improvement plans across IDBG Participate in the development of the department's annual business plan Maintain and supervise the department's budget and expenditures. Report on the budget to the department director. Ensure the effective utilisation of the budget in the area of business improvement Build mutually beneficial relationships with strategic partners and IDBG Set and execute the strategy for the implementation of Business Improvement and Management Development practice in IDB Group. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and ensure the team deliver world-class services to IDBG. Ensure that Finance-related business improvement is done through the use of leading methodologies and Finance best practices as the knowledgeable expert in the delivery of international Finance-reacted methodologies that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IDBG. Lead Finance business improvement workshops with IDB Group departments (directors/division managers/subject matter experts) and review the work of OBID's business process architects and modelers to ensure compliance with leading practices. Supervise the design of Finance-related business processes of IDBG ensuring their alignment to best practices. Participate as the Finance subject matter expert in optimisation and re-engineering teams transform IDBG into a world-class institution. Ensure that appropriate Finance-related tools and solutions are available for the department for managing its resources. Participate as the Finance subject matter expert in the development of Gap Analysis or other studies of IDBG to identify areas for improvement covering policies, procedures, organisational units, roles and systems. Supervise the implementation of leading management practices (e.g. Balanced scorecard) and act as the knowledgeable expert in management development practices Ensure the implementation of innovative advisory solutions to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance practices of IDBG. Supervise the delivery of sustainable and cost-effective business advisory solutions in an efficient manner. Review changes recommended by IDBG stakeholders to their Finance business processes and provide advice based on leading practices. Lead the implementation of business improvement communication framework to ensure that IDBG stakeholders are aware of the progress of the business transformation. Monitor the implementation of the business improvement roadmap Introduce global best practices and design innovative business solutions that will transform IDBG to a world class Institution Monitor and ensure that the business advisory solutions are being delivered in an efficient manner. Research Finance best practices and latest developments in other Multilateral Development Banks (MDB) and the private sector. Lead the development of Finance knowledge products that aid IDBG in developing its management practices. Benchmark Finance business processes, functional, structural and organisational themes with other MDBs and provide relevant studies to IDBG. Review current organisational improvement projects for IDB Group to have a holistic view of overall development efforts Project manage organisational business transformation programs as required based on assessment outcomes Conduct current state risk assessment prior to project initiation phase Ensure quality, accuracy and consistency of information Regularly monitor project development in order to detect potential project issues Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders to track progress on implementation of projects Provide periodic status updates on current projects Ensure alignment and integration with other projects within IDB Group Act as the lead subject matter expert in Finance and advise Management, Directors, Division Managers and Professionals across IDB Group on Finance related matters. Provide direction and delegate tasks to team members Act as mentor and provide coaching to team members Generate commitment, motivation and enthusiasm within the department Monitor the team's performance throughout the projects undertaken and provide feedback Enhance team members creativity and innovation Promote knowledge sharing and research capability for the team members

Experience: 10 to 15 years relevant experience in the service industry, preferably in multilateral development banking industry 4 years experience in the Finance & Accounting field preferred Business improvement and management development tools and business solutions preferred ARIS business process platform or equivalent experience preferred Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification preferred Lean or Six Sigma Certification preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
