1.1 CHEMIST GRADE II –(4 POSITIONS)
Responsible to the Division manager as will be assigned.
1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To perform chemical and microbiological quality analysis of samples.
• To perform Forensic and toxicological sampole analysis.
• To collect samples that needs special expertise and sample analysis in other laboratories
• To teach students in various institutions which match with their professional qualification
• To conduct research.
• To perform inspection on food, chemicals and environment
• To keep laboratory records obtained during analytical processes.
• To conduct chemicals inspection and registration.
• To prepare and standardize chemicals and reagents.
• To draft analytical reports.
• To collect samples for laboratory analysis.
1.1.3 QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of B.S.c. Chemistry, Food Science and Technology, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Microbiology, Toxicology, Biochemistry, Environment, Molecular Biology or equivalent qualifications with proven specialization from recognized higher learning institutions.
1.1.3 SALARY SCALE: TGHS. D.
1.2 CHEMICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST II – (5 POSITIONS)
1.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To weigh samples brought to the laboratory
• To store samples required for analysis or forward to higher laboratories
• To perform laboratory inspection, reagents, tools, chemicals and chemical storage
• To keep laboratory records obtained during analytical processes.
• To prepare sampling and analytical facilities.
• To maintain cleanliness of apparatus, equipment and the working benches.
1.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of Ordinary Diploma (three years course) qualifications in Laboratory Technology from a recognized learning Institutions and registered with Responsible Councils.
1.2.3 SALARY SCALE: TGHS. B
