BACKGROUND
The UTT Microfinance Plc (UTT-MFI) is a public financial institution promoted by the
Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, under the ambit of the Ministry of
Finance. The UTT MFI which commenced its business operations on 1st July, 2013; was
incorporated on 28th June, 2013 as a public company limited by shares under the
Companies Act (Cap 212), to implement Government policies on the matters relating to
economic empowerment of the majority middle and low income Tanzanians. UTT MFI
came into being as a result of the reorganization of Unit Trust of Tanzania (UTT) into
three functional and independent companies.
The Vision of UTT-MFI is “To be the market leader in provision on inclusive financial
service”; while it’s Mission is “To deliver effective financial services through innovative
solutions that empowers people, to maximize opportunity and achieve a suitable life
free from poverty.”

1. Job Title: Driver (One Post)

1.1 Reports to: Office Management Officer

1.2 Job Summary:
Driving office vehicle(s), collecting incoming mails, delivering outgoing mails and
doing minor repairs to the office vehicle(s).
1.3 Key duties and responsibilities:
i. Drive office vehicle to approve destinations;
ii. Ensuring that fuel, oil, water, tires, toolkit and the general state of the car
has been checked before use;
iii. Ensures that the vehicle is serviced regularly and to the required
standards;
iv. Makes regular checks on the office vehicle and carries out minor repairs
to the vehicle;
v. Maintains the log-book for each and every trip / journey made;
vi. Make sure that the office vehicle is used for authorized activities only;
vii. Collects and deliver mails;
viii. Performs any other duties assigned by Supervisor or senior officers
1.4 Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications: Holder of Secondary Education Examination
Certificate with a clean and valid driving license class “C1, C2, and C3”.
Must have been trained as motor vehicle mechanics / technicians, a
trade test grade II from National Institute of Transport (NIT) or VETA;
and clean records in driving motor vehicles.
Experience: At least three (3) years of work experience as a driver
from reputable organizations.
2. General Conditions:
a) All the above positions carry an attractive remunerations package;
b) Entry point will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and experience.
