Musoma Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (MUWASA) is a utility established under section 9 of the Water Supply and Sanitation Act No. 12 of 2009 with the objective of provision of water Supply and Sanitation Services in Musoma Municipality. In this respect, the activities of MUWASA have specifically expanded and the Authority now invites applications from suitably qualified and skilled individuals who are dynamic and result oriented to fill the following posts

Position: Commercial Manager
Reporting Relationship: To Managing Director

Purpose and Scope
The successful candidate will be head of the Commercial Department and shall be responsible for efficient and effective management of Commercial and
Business matters of the Authority.

Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure that customer data collection, computation and analysis is carried out and to ensure taking of proper action to satisfy customer demands and needs.
To ensure updating of customer data and its Electronic Data Processing.
To ensure carrying out of continuous customer survey.
To ensure the monitoring of water supply at public supply points (such as water kiosks and stand pipes).
To make sure that there is timely connection of new customers as well as disconnection and reconnection.
To make sure that the customers are informed of all developments with regards to water and sewerage services.
To establish policies for making water and sewerage customers satisfied with the Authority's services (e.g. promotional/advertisement activities for the urban population)
To manage customer record collection, keeping processing and storage (customer master file).
To manage meter readings, calculation of bills and preparation of Invoices (billing).
To manage proper procedures for acquisition of new customers (potential customers).
To control customer survey team.
May be called to deputize the Managing Director and act in his/her position whenever the substantive Managing Director is away.
To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Managing Director.

Qualification and Experience
Holders of Masters Degree in Finance and Accounting/Business Administration or Economics after attainment of the said qualifications who have been actively involved in business management and development or marketing in a reputable firm for more than three years.
Sound knowledge of Commercial matters, Accounting and Finance
Good Written and Communication Skills
Must be computer literate with working knowledge of any Billing and Accounting Application Software.

Age limit:
• Not above 45 years of age.
