Leads customer visits and interactions to gather feedback on current/future directions.
Leads designers and developers to translate prioritized market requirements to development plans (e.g. - via personas, use cases, user stories, and/or market requirements documents), helping to determine product sizing and definition. Works collaboratively with development leaders, product architects, product designers and key customers to appropriately package features into product releases and ensure product designs reflect business objectives (e.g. - by creating quarterly roadmaps, monthly release plans). Confirm requirements are addressed by the delivered solution. Identifies product offering weaknesses or go-to-market execution issues, and initiates actions or remediation proposals.
Provides ongoing technical and or operational guidance to lead professional work teams. Either manages the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities (i.e. - from definition to delivery) or leads special projects which can be responsible for a specific area of the product management discipline for a portfolio of products. Responsible for the overall coordination of resources necessary to serve target market segments. Leads department(s) (national or international) on cross-functional teams in planning activities on projects where iterative and/or agile planning with different horizons of focus is required. Influences people and organizations to take action based on qualitative and quantitative insights for their respective marketplace.
Drives customer validation through beta programs and references through strategic partnerships with customers. Identifies product references for industry and customer referrals. Converts technical positioning into key market messages for product launch. Confirms that marketing communications articulate the value proposition for key features and that sales execution plans are in place.
Participates in interaction with press and analysts. Demonstrates product capabilities and value proposition to external stakeholders (customers, partners, and analysts), analyzing feedback for potential gaps and opportunities. Makes recommendations for how to close those gaps and maximize those opportunities.
