Description:IMA World Health, a specialist in providing essential healthcare services and medical supplies around the world, is a nonprofit, faith-based organization working to restore health, hope and dignity to those most in need. We work primarily in the developing world, where an estimated 30 to 70 percent of health care is provided by faith-based organizations. IMA is an international health organization that is widely recognized for its effective and careful use of resources. We are currently recruiting for a Director of Finance to support an anticipated need in Tanzania.
IMA World Health seeks a highly-skilled and experienced Director of Finance to support the financial aspects of an anticipated USAID-funded program in Tanzania. The Director of Finance is accountable for in country direction and oversight of all finance and grants management aspects of the program.
Duties:The Director of Finance will

• Provide financial management for all aspects of the program. Supervise finance and grants management teams to ensure timely, quality, and accurate financial reports and practices.
• Provide financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to HQ on budget expenditures;
• Monitor the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the close of the fiscal year.
• Obtain approvals from donor and HQ for all procurements and sub-grants which require restricted funds. Ensure optimum monitoring of all sub grants; guiding finance, grants, and program staff to address any financial issues identified.
• Mentor and build the capacity of local staff.
• Maintain updated information regarding U.S. Government grants and USAID reporting requirements and financial restrictions.
• Oversee annual financial audits of IMA/Tanzania program as well as ensuring that sub grantees comply with all audit and financial review requirements.
• Organize finance and administration training, capacity building and close follow-up of local partners.
• Provide oversight of project administration and HR management support in country.
• Assist in program development and proposal preparation as needed. 
Qualifications:Qualifications:

1. 8 + years’ experience in international finance/accounting.
2. 5+ years of international supervisory experience.
3. Strong management, communication, mentoring and teambuilding skills.
4. Strong Excel skills, proficient in MS Word and Outlook.
5. Experience in developing countries, Tanzania and/or Africa in particular.
6. Experience in grants management.
7. Familiarity with social system strengthening mechanisms , HIV-AIDS and palliative care public health interventions.
8. Proven experience with USAID-funded projects and knowledge of USAID ethics, rules & regulations.
9. Fluent in English, written and spoken. Swahili language skills are a plus.
10. Tanzanian nationals are highly encouraged to apply.
