The management of EWSA would like to inform the public that it is recruiting suitable and qualified staff on Post of Head of Electricity Commercial Unit.

Responsibilities & Duties

1. Ensure timely and quality connections to new customers and make related reports;
2. Put in place and ensure effective implementation of a consistent and coherent marketing strategy;
3. Coordinate all Commercial activities of the Electricity Utility;
4. Elaborate a clear annual plan for the EWSA Commercial Unit and ensure its and efficient implementation;
5. Put in place and ensure implementation of an effective and efficient mechanism for billing and revenue recovery operations;
6. Monitor stock movement for meters to ensure their continuous availabitity in EWSA stores and uninterrupted supply of the same to branches;
7. Closely monitor electricity losses and propose short-term and long-term solutions;
8. Monitor and sensitize all commercial staff in branches to ensure appropriate customers care;
9. Plan and oversee staff development of staff in the Commercial Unit as well as commercial staff In branches;
10. Ensure good cooperation with relevant institutions in relation to electricity commercial operations;
11. Participate in the budget elaboration for the company and elaborate commercial budget and follow up its execution;
12. Follow-up on quotations forwarded by the electricity utility to different customers;
13. Work closely with the EWSA Public Relations and Communications Office and the EWSA CALL CENTER to maintain good corporate image and proper customer care;
14. Ensure innovation and new products;
15. Initiate the new product development and services for the company and monitor the whole life cycle;
16. Plan and chair meetings of the Electricity Commercial Unit and ensure related recommendations are implemented effectively.
    

Required qualification & Experience

1. A master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or a bachelor degree in related field with experience of 7 years in related field.
2. Ability to plan and set unit priorities;
3. Ability to organize and supervise and lead staff to meet targets and achieve goals;
4. Practical knowlegde of accounting, budget forecasting and contract management;
5. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills;
6. Good command of written and spoken English and Kinyarwanda is required. Knowledge of French and other relevant languages is an added advantage.
   

Other information

1. The successful candidate will be employed under public service scheme as permanent staff.    
2. The Head of Electricity Commercial Unit will be based at Kigali.
3. Remuneration will be based on the existing salary scale.
