FOUNDATION HELP

TASK

The volunteer will have the following tasks:
1. To assess the current website and propose areas of improvement
2. Produce a plan for the volunteer work
3. With consultation with local staff, the volunteer will re-design into an attractive, interactive and dynamic website with new features
4. Integrate the blog in the main site with RSS, Facebook, Twitter etc features
5. Arrange the website contents with multiple-language features.
6. Also the volunteer will train local staff.
The online volunteer is expected to be available for six weeks; starting as soon as possible. The online volunteer will be supported and guided by a local staff at Foundation HELP where the communication will be done through Skype and email.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Foundation HELP is a not for profit NGO based in Musoma, Mara in the north west of Tanzania. We are working with marginalised groups in Mara region. Foundation HELP was founded in 1999 as an NGO.
Our main areas of work are Environmental conservation, Self-help Housing, Education for peace, Gender Equality, Food Security, Civic engagement and Voters’ Education, Lobby and Advocacy, Education, Healthcare/ AIDS awareness and prevention and Micro Finance/ Income Generation.

OBJECTIVE

The online volunteer is expected to re-design Foundation HELP website into a new look that is suitable for advocacy work, informing, educating and resource mobilization.
