Job Summary
Cardno’s Emerging Markets Division provides specialised professional services associated with the planning, design, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of development programs across a range of physical, economic, and social infrastructure sectors.
We have been shortlisted for the DFID funded “Private Sector Innovation Programme for Health” (PSP4H). The aim of the project is to provide a better understanding of the for-profit market in the health sector and to encourage pro-poor changes by manufacturers, distributors and other markets in which poor people pay for healthcare.
Within the team we require a Research Capacity Building Adviser who with work alongside internal and external stakeholders allied with particular market systems to build capacity and ensure key focus and research precision and support

Key Responsibilities
The Research Capacity building Adviser will possess the following:
- Minimum Master’s Degree in a relevant field; PHD highly desirable.
- 5+ years’ experience in the design, management, analysis, and dissemination of research in health
- Experience in the implementation of a wide range of quantitative and qualitative methods
- Advanced skills in statistical analysis of health survey data and multi-variant analysis
- Experience in capacity building or training in foreign settings
- Demonstrated ability to inform programmatic decisions using research results
- Experience working in developing countries and/or situations of political sensitivity
