3.1 The Depot Manager is the responsible person for all activities within the depot. He is the Puma front line interaction with the customer and the airport authorities. Impressions created here, in terms of service provided, efficiency and HSSE awareness, are vital in maintaining Puma’s license to operate.

3 Operations
The Airport Depot Manager (ADM) is accountable for the complete management of the airport depot and where applicable the into plane activities. It includes all Operations, HR training, Maintenance (including inspection and testing) and HSE activities within the depot in accordance with Site Operating standards. This would include:
•Effective management of all Site risks including applying tools to recognise and minimise risk
•Thorough application of Management of Change
•Ensuring that all staff are competent to carry out their assigned duties
•Optimising the efficiency of the operation
•Implementation of recommendations from various audits.
Where the operational needs of the airport dictate, the ADM is a working member of the staff and will perform the tasks that would normally be assigned to his/her staff.
HSE
The ADM is accountable for all HSE aspects on the operation in accordance with the procedures in the SAPS system.
•Responsible for drawing up and reviewing Puma sites specific task inventory and site specific task breakdowns
•He/she is responsible for coordinating induction for new operators in country
•Ensures that all staff are trained in Task Observation procedures and methods.
•Ensure compliance to SAPS.
•Ensure HSE Scorecard is completed by 2nd day of succeeding month unless this day falls on the weekend.
•Responsible for reporting all incidence on his/her site to Ops Manager & System in accordance to incident reporting guidelines
•Support of Incident and Accident Investigations as assigned
•Ensure monthly safety meetings are conducted
•Ensure emergency exercises are conducted in accordance with guidelines

• Accountable for implementing and controlling the Operations budget according to the Delegation of Authority.
• Reporting of management information to the Operations Manager
• The Deport Manager should be continually alert for new possible business opportunities.
• Accountable for communicating stock requirements, taking into account any changes in demand patterns.
• Responsible for the stock control at the airport and being able to identify trends, irregularities(gains and losses) and implementing remedial action.
• Represents the company on all local Operating and Safety Committees as scheduled by the Local Airport Authority.
• Responsible for promoting Puma HSE agenda.
