TEACHERS, MAN-ROD ACADEMY

The academy, situated at Lamu County, India village would like to recruit highly qualified professionals for 2 teaching positions. The academy has a total of 212 students enrolling both boys (105) and girls (107) and has been operational for the past 5 years. We are seeking motivated teachers who will be preparing lessons and teaching young children in the first years of school. Reporting to the head teacher, the dedicated teachers will be oriented to the following subjects:
• Kiswahili, Social Studies, Math, CRE and English.
Key Responsibilities
The dedicated teachers will:
• Offer quality teaching with specialization in the above subjects and combinations of those subjects.
• Participate in school academic and co-curriculum activities.
• Monitor performance of students and provide necessary reports to school management.
• Teach basic skills such as personal hygiene and social skills.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and policies and procedures to maintain order among students.
• Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
• Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Read books to entire classes or to small groups.
• Demonstrate activities to children.
• Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
• Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.
• Prepare children for later grades by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks.

Incumbents should meet the following:
• P1 certificate from a recognized institution.
• At least (3) years teaching experience in a reputable institution teaching both lower and upper primary.
• Proven track record in achieving good results.
• Energetic, self-driven and of high integrity.
• Clear, fluent and concise communication in both English and Swahili.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to network with colleagues.
• Excellent proficiency in computer application skills.
• At least (3) years teaching experience in a reputable institution teaching both lower and upper primary.
• Proven track record in achieving good results.
• Energetic, self-driven and of high integrity.
• Clear, fluent and concise communication in both English and Swahili.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to network with colleagues.
• Excellent proficiency in computer application skills.
