The Ministry of East African Community (MINEAC) would like to recruit competentpermanent staff as follows:
Policy Researcher in Charge of Social Affairs
- Articulate research and studies activities in the social sector i.e. education, labour/employment, health, community development, etc
- Assure the whole administrative, logistic of the research missions, internal and external;
- Participate and organize seminars, public lectures and colloquies;
- Advise on the research promotional area at regional level;
- Maintain contact with research related services;
- Design the data collection instruments such as questionnaires, sampling, and data analysis activities;
- Conduct research and produce reports and policy briefs for consideration in policy formulation;
- Conduct periodic evaluation studies in order to assess the effectiveness and impact of EAC projects and programmes;
- Determine methods, tools for collecting data on indicators, and on implementation and management issues;
- To help maintaining a documentation centre at the Ministry.
Qualifications
Masters Degree in Social Studies, Development Studies, Operations or Bachelors Degree in Social Studies, Development Studies, Operations Research or any other related field with 2 years working experience.
Competences in Computer Skills especially Statistical softwares.
