2 Year Fixed Contract
The School of Education Studies seeks to appoint a highly qualified lecturer in the field of Education and Training. The School would particularly welcome applications from candidates who have both academic and industrial/professional expertise in the field(s) of Entrepreneurship Education, Emerging Technologies and Instructional Design.
Applicants must have an honours degree and will have experience of teaching and research in education and training in a university environment. The successful applicant should be qualified to postgraduate level and be actively pursuing or have completed a doctoral qualification in the field. In addition they should have a proven research background in the area. They should have both lecturing and administrative experience and also be experienced in bidding for and managing research projects.
The person appointed to this position will form part of a team at teaching and research levels.
This post is integral to all programmes delivered within the School and the person appointed will be expected to contribute to teaching on the full range of programmes offered by the School.
The successful candidate will also be expected to make a significant contribution to the research agenda within the school.

Salary Scale: Lecturer above bar: €50,159 - €81,403, Lecturer below bar: €41,502 - €51,724 (Subject to qualifications and experience) These salary scales may be affected by the provisions of the 2011 Budget
