The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy [CSP] is the professional, educational and trade union body for 50,000 chartered physiotherapists, physiotherapy students and assistants.
The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is launching an exciting new project, funded by the Union Learning Fund [ULF]. Focused on strengthening support to CSP members' continuing professional development [CPD], activity will begin as soon as possible through to 31st March 2012.
The project will
- develop materials to support the CPD of three CSP member groups (support worker members, newly-qualified physiotherapists and advanced practitioners)
- support members' engagement in new workforce planning arrangements in England
- optimise use of the Society's CPD ePortfolio to strengthen virtual support
- pilot a new 'learning champions' network to strengthen face-to-face support.
Project activity will be focused in two CSP English regional networks.
The CSP is creating a small, dedicated project team. We are looking for individuals who enjoy teamworking, working on short-life projects and delivering tangible results swiftly.
This post will provide day-to-day oversight, co-ordination of the project and leadership to the project team. You will manage the production of materials and reports and keep activity on track to achieve the project's intended outcomes and outputs.
We are looking for someone with expertise in leading a small team, managing projects and budgets and who is adept at delivering to agreed timescales. Educated to postgraduate level (or equivalent), we need someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who enjoys taking responsibility and can motivate others, and who has high-level time management and organisational skills.
Prior to application, please email hr@csp.org.uk for additional supplementary information on Practice and Developments overview and ULF funded CSP championing CPD project.

Closing date: 12pm, Wednesday 8 June 2011.
Interview date: Wednesday 15 June 2011.
We regret to inform that only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
The CSP is committed to equality of opportunity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
