General Description:
The job holder will primarily be responsible for the management, coordination, leadership and implementation of the program. Under his/her leadership, planned SRHR and livelihoods activities will be integrated and carried out in collaboration with existing district/regional based structures, development partners and implementing partners of the program. He/she will provide technical and management leadership in all the strategic and operational aspects on programming initiatives with an overall the works closely with Finance and Administration. Serves as the liaison between county program team and the Regional Program Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities.
- Lead the program strategy development and implementation
- Contribute to development, implementation and advocacy of SRHR and other activities
- Ensure budgetary and financial management as well as quality project outputs
- Assure that high quality reports are submitted to donors on time
- Promote and manage partnerships with local and national Government Authorities
- Lease with other donors and NGOs
- Identify and seek funding to expand program portfolio
- Use updated technical information to support improved service delivery
- Improve visibility/credibility of DSW among stakeholders
- Provide support to and serve as team leader to project officers and implementing partners.
- Ensure agreed plans and budgets are monitored for quality, accountability and transparency.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Social Science or relevant development field
- A minimum of 5 years experience in working with an international non-profit organization
- A minimum of 3 years experience in EU grant management
- Management experience in implementing SRHR and/or livelihoods projects
- Flexibility, problem solving with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
- Proven proposal and report writing skills
- High integrity with strong management skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
