The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy [CSP] is the professional, educational and trade union body for 50,000 chartered physiotherapists, physiotherapy students and assistants.
The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is launching an exciting new project, funded by the Union Learning Fund [ULF]. Focused on strengthening support to CSP members' continuing professional development [CPD], activity will begin as soon as possible through to 31st March 2012.
The project will
- develop materials to support the CPD of three CSP member groups (support worker members, newly-qualified physiotherapists and advanced practitioners)
- support members' engagement in new workforce planning arrangements in England
- optimise the use of the Society's CPD ePortfolio to strengthen virtual support
- pilot a new 'learning champions' network to strengthen face-to-face support.
Project activity will be focused in two CSP English regional networks.
The CSP is creating a small, dedicated project team. We are looking for individuals who enjoy teamworking, working on short-life projects and delivering tangible results swiftly.
This post will facilitate CSP member engagement in the project. You will develop a programme of field-based activities in line with the project objectives and deliver and evaluate this to inform the project outcomes and recommendations.
We are looking for a registered health professional, educated to postgraduate level (or equivalent). We need someone with expertise in running workshops and focus groups and developing supportive CPD materials. Expertise in using virtual learning environments would be a distinct advantage.
The post needs someone who has the communication skills to run group-based activities and to engage others, both face-to-face and remotely. Strong skills in analysing and presenting data are essential, as are the written skills to produce materials in accessible and engaging formats.
Prior to application, please email hr@csp.org.uk for additional supplementary information on Practice and Developments overview and ULF funded CSP championing CPD project.
For further information and to apply online, please visit www.csp.org.uk/cspvacancies or call 020 7306 6609 quoting the relevant reference number. CVs alone will not be accepted.
Closing date: 12pm, Wednesday 15 June 2011.
Interview date: Thursday 30 June 2011.
We regret to inform that only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
The CSP is committed to equality of opportunity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
