Hydrology Technician - Morogoro Urban Water Supply And Sanitation

MORUWASA, is an expanding Autonomous Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority, which is responsible for supplying of clean, safe water as well as provision of wastewater disposal services for Morogoro Municipality. The general and guidelines to run Authority are provided by the Ministry of Water, EWURA and Board of directors
The Authority is looking for competent, dynamic, energetic, committed, experienced and well qualified Tanzanian who is capable of embracing and driving change in MORUWASA to fill the following vacant posts.

Hydrology Technician Grade II (ONE POST):

WORKING EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Holder of Diploma in Hydrology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution with three years relevant experience in water production and treatment plus good knowledge 'of ICT application skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors the water levels of the reservoir and keeps daily records.
Ensures that the reservoir is free from pollution.
Ensures that only authorized persons are allowed in the reservoir area premises and intake. ,
Ensures that the intake valves, tunnel pipes and other fittings are in good working condition.

Monitors the odor of the water and water level at the reservoir,
Prepares work shift schedules of Pump Operators and casual laborers' .
Ensures that the right quantity of water is sent by gravity to the water treatment plant.
Prepares periodical reports on raw water analysis, encountered problems of water flow, electricity, chemicals and how the problems were solved. .
Ensures that water weeds and any other dirt is removed from the dam
Conducts open performance review and appraisal of subordinates and gives feed
back
Develops individual performance objectives, targets and standards in consultation
with the immediate superior as part of performance agreement
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by Production Engineer.

SALARY SCALE MOWA 4
