Driver II
Reporting to: Transport Officer
Duty station: Shinyanga Municipality
Qualifications:
Holder of a Form IV certificate with Clean and valid Class HC driving licence and attended professional driving course at the National institute of Transport (NIT)
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Driving properly any type of vehicle assigned to him/her.
(ii) Ensuring that the vehicle assigned to him/her is always clean, in good running condition and is parked in a safe place.
(iii) Undertaking routine inspection of the vehicle to ensure that it is always serviceable.
(iv) Reporting promptly any detected fault or defect on the vehicle.
(v) Sending the vehicle for service when due.
(vi) Maintaining vehicle logbook accurately and timely.
(vii) Performing any other duties as may be required by the Transport Officer.
Assistant Transmission Technician II
Number of Posts: Two (2)
Reporting to: Transmission Technician
Duty station: Mwawile, Misungwi District
Qualifications:
Holder of Form IV Certificate with Trade Test Grade II in Plumbing from a recognized training institution.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Inspecting transmission pipeline and reporting any fault or anomaly.
(ii) Reporting and repairing water leakages.
(iii) Reporting on unauthorized water connection.
(iv) Carrying out water disconnections and re connections timely.
(v) Opening and closing various types of valves.
(vi) Supervising clearance of the main water transmission pipeline.
(vii) Performing any duties as may be assigned by the Water Transmission Technician.
Plant Operator
Reporting to: Shift Superintendent
Duty station: Ihelele, Misungwi
Qualifications and Experience:
Holder of Form IV certificate with Trade Test Grade II and above in Electrical or Mechanical Fields from a recognized institution.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Operating pumps.
(ii) Taking and recording necessary data and any defects detected.
(iii) Reporting any failure or defects of a pump to the Electrical or Mechanical Technician.
(iv) Carrying out cleanliness of pumps, other associated machines and surroundings to ensure that they are always in good appearance.
(v) Ensuring that all machines, equipment and tools are at the highest degree of efficiency.
(vi) Performing mechanical/electrical engineering technical tasks under supervision of senior staff.
(vii) Preparing daily reports pertaining to his/her duties.
(viii) Performs any other relevant duties assigned by Mechanical/Electrical Technician.
Internal Auditor
Reporting to: Head of Internal Audit Unit
Duty Station: Shinyanga Municipality
Qualifications:
Holder of Degree/Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from a recognized University and CPA (T) or equivalent qualifications with at least three (3) years of practical experience after graduation in a similar position in any reputable organization and registered with NBAA as Certified Public Accountant. Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Assisting in the preparation of audit plans and programs.
(ii) Participating in the formulation and recommendation of short and medium term plans of the Internal Audit Unit.
(iii) Conducting regular audits of Departments and Units to ensure that up-to-date financial records are kept and that approved management and accounting procedures are followed.
(iv) Performing full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
(v) Preparing draft audit reports detailing audit findings and submitting to the Head of Internal Audit Unit.
(vi) Updating the status of the previous internal and external findings on a quarterly basis, auditing resolved issues and preparing quarterly reports for review by the Head of Internal Audit Unit.
(vii) Carrying out system audit and analysis to ascertain the effectiveness of established policies, procedures and plans and where necessary recommending appropriate improvements; and
(viii) Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Internal Audit Unit.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: -
Qualifications and Experience
In service employees must possess the above qualifications and have at least four (4) years working experience and a good track working record.
Age Limit
Not above 45 years for all posts.

Unspecified period upon successful completion of a 1-year probation period.
