Senior Account Manager - Tanzania

Role Summary/Purpose
The Account Manager is responsible for driving achievement of OneEC business plan for order intake and profitability via business development actions in Tanzania. He/she will be in responsible of identifying potential business opportunities, proposing commercial strategies, promote and coordinate commercial activities in Tanzania to achieve our market penetration objectives.
Essential Responsibilities

    Deliver commercial results for the OneEC portfolio in the Tanzania including financial & market objectives, managing key commercial performance indicators such as order intake and margin, and customer satisfaction for the following:
  • eBoP’s with GE2GE (GS, IS and A&C),
  • Grid expansion and refurbishments, Network Management Solutions (GS and IS)
  • Solar developments (PC, IS, GS)
  • O&G and Marine (PC, A&C, IS)
  • Service on Installed Base (all EC)
  • Lead EC Commercial representation towards customers in the area in coordination with local GE teams
  • Lead definition and implementation of EC strategy for Tanzania
  • Lead commercial intensity and coordination of EC P&L’s
  • Leverage the GE Store to create opportunities, develop capacity building partnerships with universities in our projects to differentiate vs Chinese competitors.
  • Develop team members, identify and develop successor(s)
  • Responsible for level of Orders and CM
  • Identify and analyze possible channels to market, identify the right partners and applications, customers (key accounts) to maximize business volume and profitability
  • Promote the complete OneEC port-folio, for products and systems, identifying the best options for customer needs
  • Ensure prices are established based on target-winning price, with a view on market conditions (competition, customer budget)
  • Identify the need to participate to products events and coordinate with the EC SSA Commercial Leader
  • Develop intimacy and trust with the customers
  • Monthly report of activities, and participation to Pacing calls, Budget and forecast exercises
  • Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes. Report or resolve any non-conformance and process in a timely manner
  • Qualifications/Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering & Information Technology from an accredited university or college
    • Min 5 years of experience in sales, account management, product marketing and/or technical development, in energy portfolio
    • Willingness to travel
    • Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role’s location
    • Desired Characteristics
      • Expertise required in the Energy sector
      • Experience in business development in Tanzania
      • Knowledge of the structure and organization of target companies in the region
      • Ability to prioritize and effectively handle multiple opportunities, consistently meeting deadlines
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
      • Ability to work in international and matrix organizations.
      • Fluency in English
