Mwalimu Commercial Bank PLC (In-Formation) is a new bank licensed by the Bank of Tanzania to operate as a commercial bank, and is in its final stages of setting up operations. The major shareholders of the bank include Tanzania Teachers; Union(TTU), Teacher’s Development Company Limited (TDCL), PublicService Pension Fund (PSPF) and the National Insurance Fund (NHIF).MCB is now seeking to recruit the following vacant positions:-
17. Customer Service Officer (1 Position)
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the branch manager, he will provide high quality customer care and services taking into cognizance the pressing need for timeliness, adequacy and high customer satisfaction. To meet the sales targets while adhering to the banking policies and rules, regulations, KYC, AML, etc
Key responsibilities
• Shall include but not limited to the following;
• Achieve set monthly and annual sales targets,
• Prospecting and recruiting new customers for the various personal banking products for the branch.
• Recommending business development opportunities for follow up.
• Ensure high customer service standards at all times, by coordinating, the services required with all the stakeholders inside and outside the branch.
• Managing and controlling the customer queues by monitoring the banking hall
• Ensure customers are well informed of all the products on offer
• Obtain copies of entries requested by customers and ensure commissions are recovered
• Issue Customer Statements on requests
• Respond timely to customer telephone calls, immediate feedback to queries or escalate
• Order ATM cards, cheque books, issue account balances and attend to Front Office account queries
• Capture customer complaints and record on register daily
• Assist in compliance with operational risk requirements ,e.g. KYC, AML, health & safety standards; observe security situations in the banking hall.
• Ensure new accounts for opening have all the required documents, and are dully authorized by the Branch Manager.
• Ensure all entries being processed are fully authorized.
Minimum Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a business related fields
• Ability to contribute to sales strategy and broadly knowledgeable in sales & marketing.
• Ability to communicate comfortably at all levels
• 1-2 year's working experience in sales job in a bank.
