Mwalimu Commercial Bank PLC (In-Formation) is a new bank licensed by the Bank of Tanzania to operate as a commercial bank, and is in its final stages of setting up operations. The major shareholders of the bank include Tanzania Teachers; Union(TTU), Teacher’s Development Company Limited (TDCL), PublicService Pension Fund (PSPF) and the National Insurance Fund (NHIF).MCB is now seeking to recruit the following vacant positions:-
13. Branch Manager (1 Position)
Job purpose:
Reporting to head of business development and marketing, the branch manager has a key leadership role within MCB. He is responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience to potential and existing customers. This role is significant people leadership position either a strong focus on driving sales, customers service excellence and running well controlled operation with engaged and enabled staff.
Key responsibilities
• Ensuring sales penetration - leading the branch to achieve set targets on sales, customer service, control, income contribution, healthy balance sheet growth for both assets and liabilities, costs and people.
• Acting as appoint of contact and escalation and resolution for issues from. the branch sales teams in relations to their portfolio companies. Payroll sign up and relationship management.
• Building long term relationships founded on efficient and reliable support of solutions and managing consistency and Quality of operational service.
• Actively monitoring and managing the sales performance on daily, weekly and monthly basis using appropriate management reports.
• Managing day-to-day 'branch operations and performance to achieve the best possible outcomes or customers and the business in" line with prevailing regulation, MCB policy and best practice.
• Providing clear directions to branch staff on performance measures at branch level.
• Accountable for delivery of outstanding customer experience, through service and sales within his branch.
Minimum Qualifications
• University Degree or equivalent qualifications in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Economics or related discipline;
• Possess at least five 'years of working experience in the banking sector as a branch manager or equivalent.
• A thorough understanding of the branch operations and the marketing dynamics.
