College of Education (DUCF) situated at Cang’ombe Temeke district in Dar es salaam
1. JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT LECTURE (3 POSTS)
Areas of Specialization
• Language Education (1)*
• Political science and Public
Administration (1)*
• Development studies
(a) Qualification and experience
Applicant must be a holder of Masters Degree with & Minimum GPA of 4.0 and overall GPA of 3-8 or higher in undergraduate Degree from a recorgnized University with a minimum score of B+in the relevant subject.
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Carry out lectures, conduct tutorials, seminars and practical for undergraduate programmes under close supervision
(ii) Prepare materials for practical tutorial exercises
(iii) Conduct research under close supervision
(iv) Carry out consultancy in community services under close supervision
(v) Publish articles & research findings
(vi) Write teaching manuals and compendia
(vii) Attend workshops, conferences and symposia; and
(viii) Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authorities
(c) Salary Scale: PUTS 1.5

2. JOB TITLE: TUTORIAL ASSISTANT (2 POSTS)
Area of Specialization
• Political Science and Public administration (1)*
• Communications Skills (1)
(a) Qualification and Experience
Application must be a holder of a Bachelor Degree from a recognized University with a minimum GPA of 3.8 or higher with a minimum score B+ in the relevant subject
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Understudy Senior members including attending lectures and seminars, tutorial and practical
(ii) Assist in conducting tutorial and practical exercises for studies in the department under close supervision
(iii) Prepare material for practical and tutorial exercise
(iv) Conduct research under close supervision and
(v) Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authority
(c) Salary Scale: PUTS 1.1

3. JOB TITLE: ESTATES MANAGER (1 POST)
(a) Qualification and Experience
Applicant must be a Holder of a Masters Degree in Engineering of Architecture or any other relevant held and registered as a professional Engineering/Value with the relevant Board. Must have obtained a GPA of 30 or above in undergraduate Degree with working experience at least three as Principal Estate Officers or its equivalent
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Head of the Estate Department and responsible to the Principla through the Deputy Principal Administration
(ii) Serves as Secretary to the estates Committee
(iii) Responsible for land management maintenance and rehabilitation of buildings and infrastructure and space utilization
(iv) Responsible for Formulation of recurrent maintenance and capital development projects and their budgets
(v) Responsible for execution of maintenance works and capital Development projects
(vi) Responsible for Preparation of specifications of furniture and equipment
(vii) Responsible for progress reports and maintenance works
(viii) Responsible for maintaining the fixed assets register in collaboration with the Bursal
(ix) Responsible for provision of essential services such as water, telephones electricity, sewage, drainage environmental cleanness and safety etc; and
(x) Perform any other dujties as directed by Deputy principal - administration
(c) Salary Scale: PGSS 21

4. JOB TITLE: SENIOR ASSISTANT HEALTH ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER II (1 POST)
(a) Qualification and experience
Holder of Diploma in Public Health/Health Science/Environmental Health Science and should have registered with the Environmental Health practitioners Registration Council and have relevant working experience of at least five
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Inspect environmental sanitation around campus
(ii) Inspect sanitary of building and cafeteria
(iii) Inspects food taken by students according to standards set by the Government
(iv) Facilitate prevention of animals and insect which spread diseases
(v) Taken measure to prevent and combat diseases epidemic
(vi) Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the relevant authorities
(c) Salary scale: PMGSS B

5. JOB TITLE: SENIOR DRIVER II (1 POST)
(a) Qualification and Experience
Holder of Form IV Secondary education with passes in Kiswahili and English with a Trade Test Grade I. must have a valid Driving Licence in the Relevant class, and has attached Advanced Drivers Certificate Grade II from recognized institution and relevant working experience of not less than five years
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Rivers DUCE vehicles skillfully
(ii) Maintains and keeps up to date log books
(iii) Adheres to Maintenance schedules
(iv) Keeps motor vehicle in good running conditions and reports immediately faults and defects to Transport officer
(v) Ensure that valid documents are obtained prior to commencing any journey
(vi) Ensure safety and cleanliness of the vehicle at all times
(vii) Performs messenger duties and responsibilities such as dispatching documents/letters, collecting mail photocopying of documents
(viii) Diagnoses more complicated problems in the vehicle needing repair
(ix) Verifies repairs undertaken on vehicles
(x) Performs any other duties and responsibilities as amy be assigned from time to time by one’s reporting officer
(c) Salary scale: PGSS 7 - 8
