Purpose of Job
To ensure the efficient operation of the Finance, Facilities, HR and IT services provided by the Ethiopia office. To support the Country Director, Business Director and Project Managers in ensuring that appropriate financial and output targets are set, that performance against targets is monitored and informs in-year action and future planning; to ensure the integrity of financial and other office management systems and to manage all risks associated with these sectors.
Context and Environment
This post leads the Resources team in British Council Ethiopia. The team comprises of Finance Manager, Finance Officer, Resources Coordinator, Resources Assistant, Office Drivers and Security Officers in British Council Ethiopia. The post requires a good understanding of both finance and general management and good team leadership abilities. The postholder will ensure the effective delivery of platform services to British Council Ethiopia.
