Aggreko Business Development Manager - East Africa

Purpose of the Job
Primary responsilities of the Business Development Manager will be to identify and bring to the table business opportunities in the Construction/Utility/Manufacturing/ Oil & Gas/mining markets in East African Region. To establish relationships with key stake holders and gain an in depth knowledge of the market place and upcoming opportunities.

Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities: 
  • Source business opportunities across allocated markets in Utility/O&G/Construction/Manufacturing.
  • Develops strategies to secure business to new and existing markets
  • To ensure that project pipeline remains optimized for continuous project business growth
  • To ensure that project awards meet or exceed budgets assigned to market
  • Aggreko places a strong emphasis on health, operational safety and environmental protection.  It is a requirement and moral obligation of each employee to be actively committed and accountable for compliance to the Aggreko Health, Safety & Environmental policies, operating procedures and compliance to local legislation.

Person Specification/Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree, technical discipline may be advantageous
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in business development of projects valued at US$1 Million and above

  • Have the ability to multi task and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) at both a local and international level
  • Availability to travel as and when required
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Extreme attention to details
  • Good commercial awareness
