DRIVER/FIELD ASSISTANT, DSW KENYA COAST REGION

DSW (Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevoelkerung) is an international development and advocacy organisation with headquarters in Hannover, offices in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, and liaison offices in Berlin and Brussels.

DSW’s main goal is to help people free themselves from poverty. For this purpose we support integrated programs in sexual reproductive health and rights focusing on youth empower-ment, advocacy, and capacity building of local partners.

            Responsibility

• Cleaning and maintaining of vehicle 
• To be vigilant that the assigned vehicle is serviced and usable at all times
• Ensure security of the vehicle and  other accompaniments therein or attached to the vehicle
• Driving the field work teams and other recommended DSW partners in and Coast Region in respective project sites.
• Responsible for overall maintenance, cleanliness and servicing of Mobile VCT vehicle and facilities.
• Maintain a log book for the movement of the vehicle in delivery of Youth Friendly Mobile Service Land Rover vehicle and truck  and other official assignments
• Support other relevant project duties as may be requested in advance by the program coordinator.
• Responsible for vehicle movements and strictly adhere to authorized journeys and persons

• Provide monthly reports to DSW

Requirements:

• The candidate should have a clean driving licence
• Must have geographical experience of coast region
• Experience working with youths and women programs
• Having qualifications in community work will be an added advantage.
• Applicants from Coast region are encouraged to apply
• At least 5 years driving experience in a busy office; those with 4WD Experience have added advantage
• Licenced to drive Trailer/Truck
• Certificate of good conduct
