We are seeking to appoint a part-time (80%) Disability Research Projects Administrator.
The successful applicant will have:
  • Experience of budget management including creating budgets, monitoring accounts, producing financial projections and managing projects within a higher education or similar environment.
  • Experience of working in a busy office, working to tight deadlines, organizing a heavy workload, assessing priorities with minimum supervision, initiating action and solving problems as required, maintaining confidentiality when necessary and task sharing to cover leave/sickness.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office and bibliographic databases and proven ability to set up, develop and maintain accurate and up to date computerised and other record keeping systems.
  • Proven ability to establish effective working relationships and work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with visitors from all parts of the world, and a willingness to develop these skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent presentation of work, including good grammar and spelling, the ability to proofread and draft correspondence.
The post is funded by various NGOs until 31 December 2013 in the first instance and is available as soon as possible. Salary is on the Professional Support Scale Grade 4 £26,873 - £28,287 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting).
