The Data Encoder, under the supervision and guidance of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, will be responsible for organizing, coding and entering MARPs Project routine data that have been collected over the last one and half years of implementation. The data encoder will enter the data provided in hard copies in to web based EventSMART as well as MS-Access based service statistics data base. The data encoder should regularly communicate with the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer who is responsible for quality assurance of this activity.
Responsibilities
- Organize and group the raw data by implementing partners
- Serially code the raw data
- Enter the coded data in to the respective data bases: The training data will be entered in to the web based EventSMART, and the non-training service data in to the MS-Access based data base
- Regularly communicate with the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to ensure quality. The M & E Officer and data encoder will agree on the intervals of quality checks of the entered data against the raw data.
- After completion of the assignment, the data encoder will re-organize the raw data and assist the M & E Officer to store the raw data in secure space that will be provided.
- The Data encoder will perform other relevant activities as given by the M & E Officer or the M & E Advisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, MIS, Statistics or other related field with 2-3 years of experiences relevant to this assignment.
- Experience in data cleaning and entry, and basic analysis skills
- Familiarity with PEPFAR’s TIMS forms will be an advantage
- Must be able to work in a team setting.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Good organizational skills.
