The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) is a large, international charity that works to create greater value for charities and social enterprise. Within CAF, Advisory & Consulting is a dynamic team that provides strategic advice to corporates, individuals and charities to enable them to effectively work with each other. On the corporate side, we work with a range of FTSE 100 companies to provide thought leadership and support in developing CSR strategies and initiatives in the UK and internationally.
This is a fast growing team with lots of opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious person that wishes to enhance their expertise and grow their experience, helping to shape the direction of our work, whilst working with some of the top companies in the world.
The role entails developing and delivering advisory work that demonstrates our strategic capabilities as well as our ability to deliver management processes, specifically in the area of responsible business, stakeholder engagement and sustainability.
Desired key skills and experience:
• Proven track record in developing and delivering corporate
responsibility projects, in particular focused on responsible
business, stakeholder engagement and sustainability:
- Ability to develop solutions and approaches that can be
utilised as part of a wider offer.
- Ability to win and deliver high quality projects with minimal
support and direction.
- Have analytical and research ability that can translate
strategy into management, process and cultural change
• At least three years experience in a CSR-focused job
• Proven experience in delivering a range of consultancy work,
working with CSR teams in a consultancy/ agency/ business
setting
• Good understanding of the charity sector
• Excellent communication skills, confident presenter,
persuasive speaker and comfortable in engaging people at all
levels
• Confident at delivering a range of written outputs (reports,
proposals, think pieces etc) to a range of audiences, in
particular corporate clients in the CSR arena. Good attention
to detail is a necessity.
• Desire to develop innovative solutions and fresh thinking,
advocating it internally and externally
• Excellent project management skills and an ability to handle
a number of projects at any one time
• Strong organisational skills with ability to develop
effective working practices and processes
• Ability to matrix manage and work successfully with other
teams, motivating others, achieving buy-in and bringing
people along with you
• Good, relevant honours degree
• Entrepreneurial, passionate and driven with a can-do attitude
