The Ministry of East African Community (MINEAC) would like to recruit competentpermanent staff as follows:
Director of Information, Education and Communication
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of the communication strategy, action plans and budget with regard to target audience segmentation, and development of target-specific message;
- Promote communications and public relations initiatives including press briefings, media events and programs;
- Ensure timely, regular and easily accessible communication such as press releases, radio programs and bulletin boards which include up-to-date EAC information;
- Oversee the preparation, printing and dissemination of documents, including liaising with authors, printers and graphic designers;
- Respond to the wide variety of information requests from partners from the area include the media;
- Prepare annual and quarterly progress reports on the implementation of the communication strategy;
- Evaluate communications strategy impact and adapt strategy as appropriate;
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Minister and Permanent Secretary;
- Report all activities to the Permanent Secretary.
Qualifications
Masters Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, and Journalism with 2 years working experience or Bachelors Degree(A0) in Mass Communication, Marketing, and Journalism with 5 years working experience or any other related field.
