The Communications analyst is responsible for the collation and evaluation of data and insight to turn it into usable and credible communications for our key stakeholders both internally and externally. The role requires an understanding of existing business management information and the ability to use this to create strong fact based insights and proof points for Millicoms core messaging. The role requires the management of tools to monitor, analyse and share social media analysis as well as reputation and PR newsflow and to create meaningful performance reports from the data. This is a unique role that works across many different audiences and will also help to develop and manage the employee portal and other internal communications projects in due course.

Key Responsibilities
• The Communications analyst will be responsible for the development and piloting of a reputation tracker / External Relations evaluation tool to provide ROI and measurement of PR effectiveness across the group
• To proactively generate valuable insights and conclusions from available data and provide tangible recommendations to enable quick and efficient decision making
• Providing data driven insights to add weight to press releases and external communication
• Tracking business management information to ensure that our messaging is up to date and compliant with latest financial reporting
• Designing and delivering surveys internally to understand what employees want from communications + create business case intelligence reports to help colleagues make the correct decisions
• Liaising with HR to feed into overall employee surveys and extrapolate insights and actions from these
• Managing and tracking influencers and devising communications programmes for this key audience
• Digital media horizon scanning for crisis, issues and opportunities and reporting them in a way most appropriate for internal audiences
• Analyse website and social media trends using internal and external data sources
• Finding ways to make information make sense – using infographics, graphs and images for example
• Keeping communications data up to date – including in-country comms teams
• Managing internal communications projects

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Post graduate educated and degree or equivalent qualification ideally in a numerate degree
• Experience in delivering business information management
• Practical knowledge of Google Analytics
• Strong experience of social media social networks
• Proven intercultural awareness from living and working in several countries
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE
• Passionate about the potential of evaluation, research, insight generation and analytics to transform communications effectiveness
• Strong data analysis skills and an understanding of data aggregation
