The Sauti-TZ Program is a USAID-funded initiative to improve the health of all Tanzanians through a sustained reduction in new HN infections in support of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. Sauti- TZ uses vulnerability-tailored evidence-based interventions to bring high-quality HN prevention, HN adherence support, and family planning promotion and service delivery to key and vulnerable populations (KVPs) in five regions including Iringa and Njombe, and potentially Mbeya, Mwanza and Dar es Salaam.
In each region, mobile Community-Based HN Testing and Counseling ''Plus''(CBHTC+} teams will deliver a package of outreach services that include HN testing and counseling, linkages to HN care and treatment services, family planning services, and screening for TB, STIs, gender based violence, and alcohol and drug abuse. These services will be provided in a variety of settings, at flexible hours, with populations most at risk for HN. Teams will be based in regional or district towns and travel extensively.
