United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Tanzania invites applications from qualified Tanzanians to occupy the position of Project Coordinator for Miombo Woodlands Project. The incumbent will primarily be responsible to SUPPOlt the delivery of quality project outputs through quality preparation of annual and quarterly work plans, including budgets. She/he will be based in Tabora reporting dire!.’tly to Regional Administrative secretary, Tabora and working closely with UNDP
Some of the duties and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Regional Administrative Secretary, Tabora or under the guidance of the Project Steering Committee (PSC), with support from the UNOP Programme Specialist for Environment and Natural Resource Management a designated official responsible for the Project will perform the following duties:

• Undertake project monitoring and assist in the preparation of quarterty and annual implementation reports, both physical and financial
• Provide communication support on the project to the public, and logistical support to project activities and personnel when required
• Ensure that the inputs are relevant to the activities, and the activities are relevant to the results and
ensure that value for money is observed throughout the project implementation, including compliance to guidelines for allowable expenses at established rates
• Plan the activities of the project and monitor progress against the approved work-plan and budget
• Provide communication support on the project to the public, and logistical support to project activities and personnel when required

Academic qualifications. experience and skills:
- Minimum of a Masters degree in environment, natural resources management, forestry, or related discipline.
- At least 5 years working experience in sustainable land/forest management or related projects in the development context
- Good management and coordination skills, with experience of at least 3 years in project implementation and management
- Experience in writing project reports and management plans
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili is essential
- Ability in negotiating, diplomacy and lobbying skills
