PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Devise CTA's global communication strategy
Develop and lead the implementation of an annual communication plan in collaboration with CTA staff and partners to achieve a high level of visibility and outreach for CTA's activities
Identify budget, staff resources and other needs to implement annual communication plan
Ensure high-quality, relevance and timeliness of CTA's corporate communication materials (corporate publications, websites, annual report, newsletters, policy briefs)
Prepare communications materials that meet the needs of specific target groups (e.g. VIPs)
Ensure high level of coverage for the work of CTA with its partners in ACP and international media, including social media
Provide communications support to CTA events and ensure high level of visibility and broad media coverage
Develop and monitor performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of CTA's communications activities
Direct, coordinate and supervise service providers: communication agencies, press relations agencies, printers and designers.
Organize workshops and training opportunities to improve communications skills of CTA staff and partners
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field
RELEVANT WORKING EXPERIENCE
-Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible relevant experience, preferably in agricultural or rural development
-Proven experience in implementing an effective communications strategy
-Excellent knowledge of all aspects of corporate communications (external, internal, PR, Web) and proven experience in adopting latest communications trends
-Proven track records in producing content for a variety of audiences through different channels
-Excellent knowledge of editorial and publishing workflows
-Demonstrated experience in delivering highly successful communications campaigns
-Proven experience in managing multiple service providers in the communications field
