The Management of Tanzania Portland Cement is inviting for a suitable candidate to fill in the above vacant position.
ASSISTANT PROJECT ENGINEER(ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION)
Qualification:
The candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Power System/Automation.
- Good knowledge of Siemens PLC, instrumentation, basic design.
- Computer knowledge especially Microsoft office and Microsoft Projects.
- Familiar with COMPUTERIZED MAINTENANCE SYSTEM-ENTERPRISE ASSET MANAGEMENT (EAM).
- Minimum of ten (10) years of working experience in a cement industry or similar industries.
- Cement production process knowledge is an added advantage.
- Must be fluent in speaking and writing English and Swahili languages.
Duties:
- Prepare scope of work for new installation(s)
- Prepare tender documents, feasibly study report for small installation and modification.
- Perform engineering and technical work related including work order, request of purchase and provide technical and analytical support, site survey for modification work and small projects.
- Prepare the cost estimation, analyse and compare to get the most technical- economical solution.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct the job efficiently.
- Prepare contract specification for electrical maintenance.
- Approve the quality of the job done by contractors.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
CIVIL TECHNICIAN
Qualification:
The candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Full Technician Certificate in Civil or Structural Engineering or its equivalent.
- Knowledge of Tanzania construction procedures and codes as stipulated by municipal and ERB is a must.
- Computer knowledge is highly required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of working experience in a cement industry or similar industries in the maintenance of civil/structures.
- Must be fluent in speaking and writing English and Swahili languages.
Duties:
- Keeping civil/structure jobs on schedule and effectively using the skills of workers.
- Adjust priorities to ensure maximum productivity of assigned civil/structure jobs.
- Ensure the site or workshop has adequate materials and equipment(s).
- Read and interpret drawings and guide artisans for executions.
- Inspect quality of work as it progresses.
- OSHE compliance with the company requirements.
- Carry out measurement of work done, bill of quantities for civil/structure jobs done by contractors for claim purposes.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION PLANNER
Qualification:
The candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Good knowledge of Computer especially Microsoft Office and Microsoft Projects.
- Familiar with COMPUTERIZED MAINTENANCE SYSTEM-ENTERPRISE ASSET MANAGEMENT (EAM)
- Minimum of three (3) years of working experience in a cement industry or similar industries.
- Must be fluent in speaking and writing English and Swahili languages.
Duties:
- Ensure materials and spare parts availability for all jobs; secure quantity and quality
- Set time and cost estimates for work orders to optimize resource utilization.
- Continuously update maintenance performance data and statistics, technical documentation and back-log.
- Prepare specifications for purchase of electrical equipment, service and projects equipment in coordination with procurement department.
- Develop budgets, estimating labour, material, and project costs.
- Plan, control and review activities during a shutdown period in order to minimize downtime and costs and coordinate maintenance activities with all other departments and define the maintenance master plan accordingly.
- Prepare daily plan, work orders and weekly plan and review priorities in the context of work orders and needs of other departments.
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Coordinate and support all activities made using the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) module.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
