PCI is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing disease, improving community health, and promoting sustainable development worldwide. PCI Tanzania is concluding the initial phase of Food for Education (FFE) three years program in Mara region. In partnership with Bunda and Musoma Rural District Councils, and with support from the United States Department of Agriculture
(USDA), PCI will implement an expanded, follow-on 3-year program (2013-2016).
The Senior Finance Officer supports the Finance Director (FD) in providing strategic financial management leadership for PCI, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures. He/ she will support the FD to ensure routine monthly finance schedules and reporting deadlines are met. Through high-level analysis of past spending and projections, Senior Finance Officer provides key input and recommendations to the Senior Program Manager in the development of new budgets as well as the effective management of current programs.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or related field; and/or Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant
5 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in financial management and accounting
Recognized and member of the Accountancy & Auditing governing body. Thorough knowledge of USG rules and regulations preferred. Creativity, Adaptability. Demonstrated concrete decision-making and judgment. Demonstrated effective and efficient problem solving skills. Proficient in use of accounting software, preferably
ACCPAC. Demonstrated ability to build a strong team.
Excellent English skills (verbal and written);
