A vacancy exists within the Group Internal Audit Department at Corporate Office for a suitably qualified, self-starter, to join the Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance team in the role of Senior SOX Compliance Officer.
Qualifications:
- CA (SA) and completed Articles
- CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) certification will be an advantage.
Experience:
- 2 years Sarbanes-Oxley experience (management and testing)
- 4 years internal control experience (design, implementation and monitoring)
- Relevant experience within a mining environment will be an advantage
- Financial and project management experience will be an advantage.

Accountabilities:
- Managing and conducting SOX Compliance site visits, within national and international jurisdictions that AngloGold Ashanti operates in, according to the AngloGold Ashanti SOX Methodology.
- Scheduling and planning of SOX Compliance visits.
- Preparation of written reports, incorporating recommendations for corrective action.
- Preparation of Audit Committee documents.
- Attendance of Audit Committee Meetings when requested.
- Interaction and communication with various levels of management during assignments.
- Co-ordination of SOX compliance work.
- Promoting of effective interaction between management and Group Internal Audit.
- Compiling of reports, as required.
