Position Overview:
He/she will support brand and customer promotions and strategic marketing partnerships as well as manage agency and vendor relationships. Lead the development of digital strategies and measurement methodologies that provide business leaders the information required to make Marketing Investment Decisions.
Accountable for proving business building impact of digital and CRM programs. Lead execution of all aspects of a successful CRM/Precision Marketing strategy – campaign planning, agency briefing, budgeting/financial, audience segmentation.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the strategy development and activation of the digital components within key brand initiatives. Write creative briefs that clearly articulate communication objectives and success criteria in order to inform and direct agency work and creative development. Develop and communicate written briefs for use by agencies or suppliers (e.g., creative, advertising, packaging, product development, media, consumer promotions, merchandising, licensed or specialty merchandise, etc.) to direct their work activities in order to generate concepts for effective execution of marketing programs and objectives (e.g., drive trail, increase loyalty).
- Participate in the annual planning to guide, consult and provide thought leadership to on the digital components of the brand plans. Identify the needs and business objectives brands and customers in order to provide marketing services tailored to meet units' brand and business needs. Provide leadership in building organizational capabilities by identifying needs or gaps, creating a plan to close gaps, and ensuring plan execution.
- Lead key strategic initiatives that span across brands, but advance digital capabilities for the organization. Develop and coordinate cross-functional project plans and critical paths by utilizing project planning tools (e.g., MS project, periodic team meetings) in order to ensure timely in-market commercialization of breakthrough innovations.
- Have awareness and knowledge of the external landscape of digital and be able to consult and leverage that knowledge internally. Assess in-market potential of innovation concepts in order to maximize volume potential and minimize duplication of effort by utilizing effective communication and collaboration skills. Measure return on investment in order to ensure proper resource allocation.
- Must be able to determine how digital can deliver the goals of a brand program. Be able to look at previous initiatives and determine what worked and what didn’t to form future recommendations. Understand how new technologies and consumer behaviors are evolving to inform ideation. Have unique ability to understand measurement in the digital space and be able to guide and direct brand and customer teams on the output of those measurements.
- This role requires ability to make independent decision making on best course of action to inform digital strategies. This role will then largely be cross-functional leadership, influencing and consulting to inform decision making and then drive the day to day project management and direction to the agency.
- 7-10 years experience in digital marketing. Experience in mobile, web, social and precision marketing. Strong project mgt skills. Ability to lead cross-functionally.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Related Work Experience: At least 7 years
